Woodland Hills, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Soccer team hit the road on Friday afternoon for a big matchup at LA Pierce College. While, Citrus didn't get exactly what they wanted, they didn't hurt themselves any as they settled for a 0-0 tie with the Brahmas.

Citrus had their chances on Friday, but the Pierce goal keeper turned them away at each and every turn. Sophomore Jasmine Williams took a team high four shots, as Citrus went on to out-shoot Pierce 10-9. Sophomore Valerie Eyer added three shots, but again the Owls couldn't convert.

Freshman goal keeper, Dominique Oro continued her outstanding play in goal on Friday as she turned away nine shots and recorded her second straight shutout. It was also her fourth overall shutout of the year.

With the tie, Citrus' record moves to 14-1-3 overall and 10-1-1 in Western State Conference play. The tie does drop the Owls out of first place and into second place where they trail College of the Canyons by one single point. Citrus will get their chance to retake that lead on Tuesday when they host the Cougars in what is the defacto conference championship. The match is set for a 3:00 PM start time in Citrus Stadium.
