Culver City, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Soccer team wrapped up their most successful regular season campaign in program history on Friday afternoon with a 4-0 win at West LA. The Owls' record setting season ended with the win, and now Citrus will wait to see who they face in the post-season.

Citrus dominated Friday's game, taking 20 shots to West LA's none. Despite their dominating the ball, the Owls nearly waited the entire first half to get on the board. Sophomore Jade Vehawn did the deed when she scored on a free kick in the 45th minute.

In the second half, Citrus' ball dominance continued and this time the goals came with it. Sophomore Jasmine Williams got the ball rolling with her 16th goal of the season in the 55th minute with sophomore Valerie Eyer recording the assist. Williams scored again almost 20 minutes later when she gave the Owls a 3-0 lead with freshman Sheyla Sanchez recording the assist. The goal was the 17th for Williams, breaking her own record for single season goals in a season that she set with 16 back in 2010. Sanchez then rounded out the scoring in the 86th minute when she took an assist from Williams and made it 4-0.

With the win, Citrus improves to 15-2-3 overall and 11-2-1 in conference play. The 15 wins, matches the previous program record for wins in a season that Citrus set in 2007. More importantly, the Owls will get a chance to keep adding to the record books as they are a lock for the post-season. All that awaits Citrus is their position in the playoffs. The playoff seedings will be announced on Tuesday.
