Glendora, CA -- Citrus College Sophomore Women's Soccer player Jasmine Williams signed a national letter of intent on Wednesday afternoon to continue her playing career next season with California State University, San Bernardino. The signing wraps up a storied two year career with the Owls, in which Williams may go down as the best player in program history.

"I enjoyed the campus and I liked how they [Cal State San Bernardino] approached me," Williams said. "They didn't just make it all about soccer. All of the other schools tried to make it just about soccer, instead of letting me know they were going to provide an environment I can succeed in on and off the field."

In her two seasons for the Owls, Williams left her mark all over the Citrus record books. Williams is the single season record holder for points, goals, and assists in a season. Williams also holds the career records in all three categories. This past season Williams helped guide the Owls to their first ever post-season appearance. In 2012 alone Williams, scored 18 goals and handed out 10 assists en route to being named the WSC South Player of the Year, the first ever in program history.

"Citrus has played a big role in helping me reach this point in my life," Williams said. "A couple of years ago, I didn't even want to play soccer anymore. Coming to Citrus revitalized that in me, but also help me set up some goals and standards for myself that have helped me become the woman I am today."

"We are very proud of Jasmine and the opportunity that has been afforded her at Cal State San Bernardino thanks to her hard work on the soccer field and her dedication to academic success," said Head Citrus College Women's Soccer Coach Tim Tracey. "This has not been an easy road traveled for her, but the end result of her development as a student athlete and as a young adult deserves the highest respect. We wish her luck in her future soccer career, and we will be excited to be her number one fan."
