Woodland Hills, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Soccer team gave up a pair of late goals on Tuesday evening that ended grounding their effort at Los Angeles Pierce College. The Owls saw a 1-0 lead change into a 2-1 loss, as they struggled for much of the game to get going.

Citrus started out the game with few offensive threats. The Owls mustered just three total shots in the first half and one corner. Citrus picked things up in the second half, firing off seven shots and getting six corners. The Owls' lone goal in the game would come in the 65th minute when freshman Kacie Licata scored off a pass from freshman Amber Mace to give Citrus a 1-0 lead.

It didn't last long though as Pierce almost immediately tied the game up with a goal in the 65th minute. Pierce than scored just before time expired in the 89th minute to hand the Owls their second straight defeat.
