Glendora, CA -- Through three games in Citrus Stadium, one could argue that the Citrus College Women's Soccer team has put together three solid offensive performances, by outshooting their opponents 57-14 in those three games. Unfortunately for Citrus, the Owls couldn't finish in Citrus Stadium and have been held to one measly goal in those three contests, including Tuesday afternoon's 0-0 tie with visiting Glendale College in which the Owls came up empty.

As they have been known to do, the Owls came out of the gate hot. Citrus took five shots in the first 10 minutes and never looked back. Glendale though put forth a stout defensive effort and turned back every offensive look the Owls could throw at them. In the first half, the Owls outshot Glendale 10-1 and took four corners to Glendale's none.

In the second half, it was pretty much the same story. Citrus took 12 shots, while Glendale mustered three. Of those three shots by the Vaqueros two were on goal. The first of the two came on a counter, as Glendale caught the Owls defense napping. Sophomore keeper Leslie Grande responded in a big way coming up with a huge kick save to stop a sure goal.

Five minutes later, Glendale got another golden opportunity when they got numbers down in the Owls' box. Grande came up with another huge save as Glendale tried to go back post on her, but Grande made a nice diving stop to preserve the tie.

With the tie, Citrus moves to 2-3-3 on the year and 0-0-1 in Western State Conference South Division play. The Owls will be back at home on Friday when they host yet another conference foe in an always tough Santa Monica College squad. The match is set for a 1:00 PM start.
