Lancaster, CA -- Thought there's still a long ways to go, it looks as if the Citrus College Women's Soccer team is finally together. The Owls seem to have coalesced, scoring 12 goals in its last four games, in a stretch that has seen Citrus go 4-0. All of that includes yet another win for the Owls, a 2-0 victory at Antelope Valley College on Tuesday.

Citrus again controlled the tempo of the match from the get go, setting the tone with a goal from freshman Jessie Gener in the 17th minute of the match. Gener, who has become a top threat for the Owls on free kicks, buried a 25 yard laser on such a kick to put Citrus up 1-0.

The Owls continued to keep control of the match throughout the remainder of the contest, applying heavy offensive pressure, framing 11 shots on goal, while holding the host Marauders without a single shot on goal throughout the contest. Citrus' offensive dominance provided them some late relief, when Gener struck again on another free-kick from practically the same distance in the 86th  minute to make it 2-0.

With the win, Citrus improves to 6-3-3 overall and 4-0-1 in WSC South play. The Owls will be back home on Friday afternoon when they host College of the Canyons at 2:00 PM. It's a showdown between the first and second place teams in the WSC South, as the Cougars sit atop the standings with 15 points, to Citrus' 13. Canyons has also yet to allow a goal in conference play.
