Valley Glen, CA --- Freshman Rebekah Evans continued to terrorize opposing WSC South defenses on Friday afternoon as her pair of goals were enough for the Owls in a 2-0 win at LA Valley College.

Evans' first goal would come just past the midway point of the first half when she took a pass from sophomore Sheyla Sanchez and put it in the back of the net. Evans would do the same thing in the 75th minute this time off a pass from freshman Cindy Ramirez. It was the third and fourth goals for Evans in the last four games, and her second multiple goal game of the season.

Almost as important as Evans' scoring was the defensive effort for Citrus. The Owls put together their first shutout in three games, after giving up five second half goals in the last two contests. The Monarchs tested the Citrus defense as sophomore keeper Leslie Grande recorded three saves in the match.

With the win, Citrus improves to 9-4-4 overall and 7-1-2 in WSC South play. the Owls will be at home for three of their final four contests, starting with next Tuesdays meeting with Bakersfield College. The game is set for a 3:00 PM start.
