Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Soccer team showed a sixth sense for finding the back of the net on Tuesday afternoon in their Western State Conference South Division match-up with visiting Bakersfield College. The Owls scored six goals against a hurting, but usually resilient Renegade squad.

The Owls got going right from the get go with three goals in the first four minutes of action. Citrus' first score came off the head of freshman Rebekah Evans, who headed home a corner kick from freshman Cindy Ramirez late in the 1st minute. In the 2nd minute, freshman Kacie Licata joined in on the fun when she scored an unassisted goal. Moments later, Evans was finding the back of the net again, again thanks to a corner from Ramirez, as the Owls went up 3-0 in the 4th minute of action.

Citrus would score once more in the first half, getting a goal from Ramirez herself, thanks to an assist from sophomore Sheyla Sanchez. The Owls would then go on to score twice more in the second half, getting a goal from sophomore Leandra Escobar who put home a cross from sophomore Jessica Tullius in the 63rd minute. Sophomore Sheyla Sanchez rounded up the fun when she drew a penalty kick and then took it herself, burying it to put the Owls up 6-0 in the 72nd minute.

With the win, Citrus improves to 10-4-4 overall and 8-1-2 in WSC South play. The Owls will be back at home on Friday when they take on Antelope Valley College for a 3:00 PM meeting.
