Throughout the Citrus College Women's Soccer program's journey through the 2013 post-season, sophomores Leandra Escobar, Leslie Grande, and Jordyn Haynes will be blogging for CitrusOwls.com. Today's installment is the second entry of The Soccer Blog.

This week we have been practicing every day for the big game that will take place tomorrow. As the day gets closer, we as a team have become more excited than nervous for the big opportunity that we have earned. This week's practice consisted of going back to the basics and working on the small aspects of our game that may have needed some adjusting. We understand that this game is very important and have been taking this week's practice very seriously.

I truly believe that our team is ready to take on whichever team we have to, in order to make our dreams a reality. We have a strong team that is ready for the challenge ahead of us. The first round of playoffs is always nerve racking, but I believe that we are ready to face our opponent tomorrow and show them just how ready we are to continue on in playoffs.

What a big week for us it has been, my teammates and I have been putting in a lot of work during training to enhance our tactics for the match, working on things the coaches felt we needed to improve. We have put ourselves in an excellent position, now we just have to go out there and want it more than the other team. I have complete faith in my teammates; we have come a long way and I hope to get the result we want.

This week has come and gone quickly; nerves are finally beginning to kick in and the anticipation along with the excitement grows as game day gets closer. I hope my teammates are as excited as I am, let's go out there, give it our all and play for each other. No matter what the outcome is, I am proud of my team and what we have accomplished this season. Wish us luck!

I'm honestly at a loss for words about the excitement that I hold for this game. All my emotions will come out on the field with a ball at my feet. All in all, practice went extremely well this week, we really capitalized on the little things that we needed to work on. It was nice to take a week to prepare ourselves not only physically but mentally.

I can't wait to go out there for the second year in a row and show people what type of caliber athletes Citrus College has! Mostly, I can't wait to go out there and not only fight for myself, but fight for my team! I couldn't have asked for a better group of girls!
