Oxnard, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Soccer team got more of the same on Sunday afternoon when they closed out the 2014 Oxnard Sea Breeze Tournament. Just like on Friday, the Owls came away with a victory, and just like Friday it was 3-1, this time over Lassen College.

Again, the Owls got on the board quick, when sophomore Amber Mace, put the ball in the back of the net off a corner from sophomore Cindy Ramirez in the 10th minute. A little over nine minutes later, sophomore Allesandra Perez-Negron scored an unassisted strike, and the Owls led 2-0.

Lassen would cut the lead in half with a score in the 25th minute, but the Owls more or less dominated the ball, taking 17 shots and earning 12 corners. Sophomore Rebekah Evans would put the game away in the 62nd minute, when she scored her third of the year to make it 3-1.

With the win, Citrus improves to 2-0 on the year. The Owls will make their home debut on Wednesday when they play host to Ventura College (2-0). First touch is set for 6:00 PM inside Citrus College Stadium.
