Glendale, CA -- Citrus College Sophomore Cindy Ramirez broke the single season assists record on Tuesday evening at Glendale College. Four games after breaking the career assists record, Ramirez broke the single season one with an assist in the 39th minute, in a 3-0 win over the host Vaqueros.

Citrus took control of Tuesday match early, scoring in the 12th minute when freshman Ariana Reyes found freshman Katheryne Gomez for a score. 27 minutes later history happened, when Ramirez handed out her 14th assist of the year on a goal by freshman Brittney Perez that made it 2-0. Citrus' last goal of the game would come midway through the second when Gomez scored her second of the contest, this one via a pass from sophomore Alessandra Perez-Negron.

With the win, Citrus improves to 10-6 overall and 7-2 in Western State Conference South Division play. The Owls will be back at home on Friday when they host Santa Monica College in a crucial conference contest at 1:00 PM in Citrus College Stadium.
