Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Soccer team's 2014 campaign came to a close on Friday afternoon when they hosted conference leading College of the Canyons. The Owls hung tough with the Cougars who blew Citrus out early in the year, but fell in a close one 1-0.

Canyons controlled the tempo in the first taking four shots, while holding the Owls to none in the first half. Of their first four shots though, only one was on goal, a shot that sophomore keeper Amanda Garvin cleaned up. In the second half, Citrus came alive offensively, taking all nine of its shots in the final 45 minutes compared to Canyons' five. Of the nine four found the frame, but Canyons stopped all four. Unfortunately for Citrus, three of the Cougars' five second half shots were on goal, and one slipped past Garvin for the only score Canyons would need on the day.

With the loss, Citrus' season ends with a 13-7-1 record overall and a 10-3-1 mark in WSC South play.
