Oxnard, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Soccer team's rough start to their 2015 campaign continued on Saturday morning at the 2015 SeaBreeze Tournament hosted by Oxnard College. The Owls drew Lassen College in the opening round, and lost again, fall to the Cougars 3-1.

Lassen hit the Owls early and hard. The Cougars struck with goals in the 7th and 10th minutes to put Citrus in a 2-0 hole. The Owls would briefly cut the lead in the half via a goal by freshman Jailine Miranda, the first this year for Citrus, in the 33rd minute, but that was all the offense Citrus got.

The Owls didn't want for a lack of offense, as they rattled off seven shots in each half. Still, Citrus struggled to find their target as they were held scoreless for yet another half. Meanwhile, the Cougars put the game away with a strike in the 85th minute that put their lead at two scores.

With the loss, Citrus drops to 0-2 on the year. The Owls have one game left up on the coast, as they take on Sacramento City College Sunday at noon.
