Oxnard, CA -- It took three goals and three games, but the Citrus College Women's Soccer team finally found themselves in the win column. The Owls wrapped up their weekend in Oxnard on Sunday afternoon with their best game of the year, a 3-0 win over Sacramento City College.

The Owls dominated the contest from the get go, firing off 18 shots to Sacramento's two in the first frame. After being held to a single score over their first two contests, Citrus scored a pair of strikes in the first 45 minutes, but both came late, with sophomore Zariah Silva notching her first of the year in the 42nd minute and freshman Nicole Graham following suit two minutes later.

The Owls didn't let up in the second half, taking eight shots compared to three for the Panthers. The Owls also got another score in that second half, getting sophomore Madison Hunt's first goal of the season and her collegiate career in the 66th minute.

With the win, Citrus improves to 1-2 on the season. The Owls will take a break from action this week, but will be back at it a week from Tuesday when they take on a tough San Bernardino Valley College squad in their home opener at 6:00 PM.
