Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Soccer team wrapped up a brutal two-game home stretch on Tuesday afternoon when they played host to first place Los Angeles Valley College. Just like Friday's contest with Santa Monica College, the Owls tied yet again, this time a scoreless 0-0 draw.

Citrus had a few opportunities in the first half, taking four shots, while holding LA Valley to just two attempts. The Owls weren't all that accurate on their attempts though as they framed up just one of the four attempts, while Valley matched that total.

In the second half, both teams turned the offense up a notch with Valley rattling off six shots, and the Owls five. Three of the five for Citrus would be on goal, while five of the six for Valley found the frame, but both keepers we're on their game as both teams would be sent back home without a score.

Freshman keeper Amber Henry recorded six saves on the day for her second shutout of the season. For the Owls it's the first time they've been held without a goal since September 18th.

With the tie, Citrus moves to 4-4-3 overall and 2-1-2 in WSC South play. The Owls will hit the road this Friday to take on a tough Bakersfield College team that sits one point behind Citrus in the WSC South standings. Kick-off is set for 7:00 PM inside Memorial Stadium.
