Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Soccer team has been on a roll as of late, putting together easily its best stretch of the season. That roll almost came to a screeching halt on Friday afternoon until a pair of late goals lifted the Owls over visiting Glendale College 2-0.

While Citrus needed a pair of late scores to seal the victory, it wasn't for a lack of effort. The Owls outshot Glendale 9-0 in the first half and took nine corner kicks to the Vaqueros zero. None of those however resulted in a goal, as Citrus was shutout.

In the second half, Citrus kept their foot on the gas with 15 total shots, while Glendale managed two. All of that offense finally paid off in the 67th minute when freshman Jaline Miranda sent a beautiful cross up the line that found the feet of freshman Nicole Graham. Graham buried the ball, her third of the season, to put Citrus up 1-0. Four minutes later, the Owls made it 2-0 when a ball from the left side sent in by Graham found sophomore Ariana Reyes who put it just past the keeper and across the goal line for the 2-0 separation.

With the win, Citrus improves to 8-4-4 overall and 6-1-3 in WSC South play. The Owls will be on the road next week for a pair of crucial contests, starting with Tuesday's tilt at Santa Monica with a 3:00 PM start.
