Glendora, CA - Citrus College Women's Soccer team ended it's 2015 regular-season on Thursday afternoon. The Owls defeated visiting Antelope Valley College 2-0 in what was an offensive game to say the least. Now it's just a waiting game for the Owls who should be in the postseason come next Tuesday seeding meeting.

A total of 37 shots were rattled off inside Citrus College Stadium on Thursday afternoon, 27 by the Owls and 10 by the Marauders. Of Citrus' 27 shots, the Owls peppered the AVC keeper with 18 of them on frame, including an unassisted goal by sophomore midfielder Zariah Silva in the 27th minute that put the Owls up 1-0.

Citrus would hang on to that one goal lead through the remainder of the first half. 58 seconds into the second half it was a two goal lead when freshman Jaline Miranda found sophomore Madison Hunt who found the back of the net.

While Citrus took nearly 73% of the shot attempts on the afternoon, the Marauders didn't exactly make it easy on freshman keeper Amber Henry. Henry had to work for her second straight shutout and seventh overall with seven saves on the day.

With the win, Citrus' regular season ends with a 10-5-5 overall record and 8-2-4 mark in WSC South play. The 2015 CCCAA post-season seedings and match-ups will be announced on Tuesday November 17th in the early afternoon.
