San Bernardino, CA - The Citrus College Women's Soccer team dropped to 0-2 on the young 2016 season on Tuesday afternoon with a 2-0 loss to an always strong San Bernardino Valley College squad. The Owls had their chances against the Wolverines but a pair of mental miscues led to their demise. 

 Citrus would put themselves in an early 1-0 hole, when a miscommunication in their own box by the Owls led to an easy strike by San Bernardino in the 15th minute. The Owls would keep the Wolverines off the scoreboard over the next 70 minutes, until San Bernardino put the icing on the cake in the 86th minute off a header via a corner kick that put Citrus down a pair of scores.

With the loss, Citrus falls to 0-2-0 on the season. The Owls will be back in action this weekend when they take part in the annual Sea Breeze Tournament hosted by Oxnard College. Citrus kicks the weekend off against their host on Friday afternoon at 2:00 PM.
