Oxnard, CA - The Citrus College Women's Soccer team got themselves into the win column on Friday afternoon when they defeated host Oxnard College 1-0 in the opening contest of the 2016 SeaBreeze Tournament. 

Citrus controlled possession on the afternoon, but came away with just the one single score. The Owls got a goal from freshman Jacqueline Mejia off a pass from sophomore Jaline Miranda in the 40th minute, and it proved to be all they needed as the Owls defense and sophomore keeper Britni Armas kept the host Condors out of the back of the net.

With the win, Citrus improves to 1-2 on the year. The Owls will be back on the campus of Oxnard College on Sunday afternoon when they close out the weekend against College of the Sequoias.
