Oxnard, CA - The Citrus College Women's Soccer team closed out the 2016 SeaBreeze Tournament hosted by Oxnard College with their second straight win. The Owls scored three goals and breezed to a 3-1 victory over College of the Sequoias.

Sophomore Emily Fadem scored her first career goal, and gave the Owls an early 1-0 lead thanks to her strike off a pass from freshman Jacqueline Mejia in the 28th minute. Freshman Britney Gonzalez would follow that up just before the break, finding the back of the net in the 43rd minute after a pass from freshman Alexa Ruiz.

Citrus would add to the lead in the 80th minute when Mejia scored her second of the season, with freshman Jasmine Collier notching the assist. Only a score in the 83rd minute, would prevent the Owls and sophomore keeper Britni Armas from recording their second straight clean sheet.

With the win, Citrus improves to 2-2 on the year. The Owls will be back in action on Tuesday September 13th when they host Los Angeles Pierce College at 6:00 PM.
