Glendora, CA - An early goal by visiting Los Angeles Pierce College on Tuesday evening put the Citrus College Women's Soccer team back below .500 on the early year. The Owls had the ball on their half of the field plenty of times, but couldn't get a good look at the opposing goal in their 0-1 loss.

The goal by the visiting Brahmas came just 13 minutes into the action when they split a pair of defenders to be left one v one against sophomore keeper Amber Henry. Henry came out to challenge the ball handler, but the kick by Pierce's Angela Verduzco deflected off of Henry and dribble slowly into the back right hand corner of the net.

In total Pierce would rattle off 10 shots on the night, seven of which found the frame. Henry was on fire, stopping the remainder of the shots, many in acrobatic fashion.

With the loss, Citrus drops to 2-3 on the year. The Owls will be back at home on Friday when they host West Los Angeles College at 3:00 PM.
