Glendora, CA – After dropping two straight contests in uninspiring fashion, the Citrus College Women's Soccer team looked to bounce back on Tuesday evening when they travelled to Los Angeles Valley College. The Owls did that, thanks to sophomore Emily Fadem who scored in the 72nd minute, in Citrus' 1-0 victory over the Monarchs.

Scoring didn't come easy for either side on the evening. In total, 31 shots were taken on the night, 18 by Citrus and 13 by LA Valley. Of the Owls 18 shots, 12 were on goal, including seven in the first half. Despite pelting the frame, Citrus never found the back of the net, as the Valley keeper recorded seven saves.

Citrus continued to rattle off shots in the second half, getting seven off in total, five of which were on net. The only one to squeak by the Monarch goalie was Fadem's shot with 28 minutes to go off a pass from freshman Yasmine Ramirez. In the win, sophomore keeper Amber Henry recorded 10 saves.

With the win, Citrus improves to 6-5 overall. The Owls will close out their non-conference schedule on Friday afternoon when they host Glendale College for a 3:00 PM showdown.
