Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Women's Soccer team has been searching for a victory over College of the Canyons for over six years. Since 2011, the Owls were just 0-8-3 against the Cougars. Citrus wasn't able to add a win to that total just yet, but did manage another tie, this one 1-1 against a talented Canyons team.

Citrus' goal came early on in the action when the Owls managed to move the ball deep into Cougar territory. Freshman Devyn Bagwell would carry the ball down to the left hand side goal line and then fire a rocket up the line. That rocket found the shoulder of a crashing sophomore Emily Fadem that made it 1-0 in the 3rd minute.

The Owls would do their best to try to keep out of harm's way, but the Cougars dominated the ball for much of the competition, out-shooting Citrus 19-6. Despite a herculean effort from sophomore keeper Amber Henry, who managed 10 saves, the Cougars did get an equalizer in the 24th minute.

With the tie, Citrus moves to 11-7-1 on the year and 4-2-1 in WSC East play. The Owls will close out the season on Friday when they travel to Victor Valley College for a 1:00 PM start with the host Rams.
