Citrus Breaks into NJCAA Rankings

Citrus College broke into the NJCAA Division III women's soccer rankings Tuesday as the No. 19 team.

The Owls boast a 6-2-1 overall record and 2-0-0 in Western State Conference action.

As a team, Citrus has out-scored its opponents 19-to-6 and has four shutouts on the year.

Abigail Salvador ranks third in the WSC-South rankings with four goals on the year so far, as well as second with two assists. Riley Van Der Loo also has two assists, while Deziree Valdez leads the conference with 43 saves and a .796 save percentage.

Citrus is unbeaten in its last five games, with four wins and one tie. The Owls look to keep that momentum building with two games this week, hosting Bakersfield College on Tuesday.
