No. 17-ranked Citrus College dropped a 4-0 stunner to College of the Canyons Friday.
The Owls slip to 7-3-2 overall and 3-1-1 in the Western State Conference with their first conference loss. The Cougars improve to 8-3-1 on the year and remain undefeated in conference at 5-0-1.
Despite conceding four goals, Deziree Valdez made 10 saves to keep her team in the game.
Abigail Salvador had two good looks for the Owls, but the Canyon goalkeeper made the saves to keep the visitors at bay.
Citrus returns home Monday, hosting the College of the Desert for a 3:00 p.m. kickoff.
