Citrus College got the new season rolling with a 2-0 blanking on the road at Oxnard College.
The Owls start the year 1-0-0 while the Condors drop to 0-1-0.
Two sisters shined for the Owls as Alaissa Morales and Kayla Morales each scored. Alaissa Morales got things going in the 34th minute, converting a penalty kick to put Citrus on the board first. Kayla Morales capitalized in the second half, heading in a cross from Elisa Salas to double Citrus' lead.
Maddy Moris and Isabella Villalobos split time between the posts for the Owls to share the shutout.
Citrus hosts Grossmont on Tuesday at 6 p.m. for its first home game of the year, looking to keep momentum going.
