Citrus College's Kaylee Sanchez is set to continue her collegiate career at NCAA Division II Cal State Dominguez Hills.

The sophomore midfielder picked up All-Western State Conference first-team honors after helping the Owls make their sixth playoff appearance in seven years. She scored nine goals (which ranks seventh all-time at Citrus) and had seven assists (sixth in the conference and sixth all-time) on the year to tally 25 points (eighth in the conference).

"My time at Citrus was very memorable," said Sanchez. "I made great memories, met my best friend here, and just had all the support from everyone. Special shout-out to the athletic department for always supporting me and helping me become a better player and person. I was able to experience two great seasons and now I get to work for two more."

Sanchez scored one game-winning goal and had three two-goal games, including having a hand in four of the Owls' goals in an 8-1 win at West LA (two goals, two assists).

"I am excited to be playing at CSUDH," said Sanchez. "I'm grateful for this opportunity and just can't wait for fall 2023."
