Citrus College grabbed a big 6-1 victory on the road at West LA Friday afternoon.

The Owls improve to 6-4-4 overall and 4-1-3 in Western State Conference-South action, while the Wildcats drop to 2-13-1 on the year and 1-6-1 in conference.

Four different Owls scored in the game, including two goals from Jayme Beatty and two from Dianna Garcia. Lucy Bower and Ari Salcido also found the back of the net for Citrus.

It didn't take long for the Owls to get on the board as Beatty tucked away her first goal of the game in the seventh minute off an assist from Stevie Spencer. One minute later, Garcia scored her first goal off an assist from Bower.

The Wildcats managed to sneak one in in the 28th minute to put the Owls up 2-1 at halftime, but Citrus came out of the break determined to put the game away.

Garcia netted her second goal in the 57th minute before Bower and Salcido capitalized within five minutes of each other. Beatty then sealed the deal with her second goal in the 85th minute off a Jasmin Alvarado assist.

Maddy Moris only had to make three saves to pick up the win for the Owls.

Citrus returns home for a pair of games next week, first taking on Bakersfield on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
