Citrus College Women's Soccer defeated LA Valley College 3-0 Friday afternoon to pick up their sixth conference win of the season.

Citrus College improves to 10-2-1 overall and 6-2 in conference this season while LA Valley College falls to 3-10-2 overall and 0-7-1 in conference on the year.

The Owls were on the attack from the start of the game as they quickly fired five shots and earned three corner kicks in the first 20 minutes of play.

In the 22nd minute Bridget Ward scored her 6th goal of the season when Emily Cherry assisted with a perfect through ball to beat the Monarchs' defense. With the score 1-0, the Owls remained aggressive throughout the 1st half as they rattled off five more shots, nearly scoring on multiple occasions before the end of the half.

In the second half Citrus College controlled the ball well and found an opportunity in the 75th minute when Sarah Nelson scored a goal off a great pass from Alyssa Quiroz to make the score 2-0.

The Owls put the game out of reach when Alexia Leon scored her 4th goal of the season in the 83rd minute. After back-to-back conference losses the Owls were back on track Friday afternoon as they picked up a much needed 3-0 win.
