Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Swim team held their first home meet in over three years on Friday. The meet was an overall success, as the Owls continued to get better in the water.

Freshman Gabriela Debia helped the Owls get off on the right foot, finishing 7th in the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 2:20.37. Freshman Chelsea Fujita-Haffner followed that up with a 4th place finish in the 50 Yard Freestyle in a time of 27.25. A little latre, Fujita-Haffner posted a fifth place finish in the 100 Free, with a time of 1:00.86 just a tenth of a second off her personal best this year.

Freshman Kirsten Pampu kept things going with a 7th place finish in the 50 Yard Fly, her first time swimming the event competitively this season. Pampu did so with a competitive time of 32.51. In the 50 Yard Backstroke, freshman Lora Marquez-Salgado continued to trim down her time. Marquez-Salgado finished 6th with a time of 33.27 seconds two seconds faster than her previous best effort at the Mt. San Antonio College Invitational.

To round things out, Pampu, Debia, Marquez-Salgado, and Fujita-Haffner all teamed up to snag third in the 400 Free Relay. The foursome finished the race in a time of 4:13.04 a full second faster than any previous best time by a 400 Free Relay team.

The Owls will be back at home on Friday when they host Santa Monica College in their one and only dual meet. That meet is scheduled for a 2:30 PM start in the Citrus College Aquatics Center.
