Owls Wrap Up Regular Season at Pasadena Invite

Pasadena, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Swim team wrapped up their 2014 regular season this past weekend just up the 210 Freeway at the 2014 Pasadena City College Invitational. The Owls had number of quality performances, and are primed for the post-season.

Sophomore Chelsea Fujita-Haffner paced the Citrus effort per usual. Fujita-Haffner finished 24th overall in the 50 Fly (29.78), 33rd overall in the 100 Free (1:01.08), and 23rd overall in the 100 Fly (1:10.02). Fellow soph Kirsten Pampu also put in a solid weekend in the water, taking 23rd in the 200 Individual Medley (2:38.77) and 44th in the 100 Individual Medley (1:12.85). Freshman Lauren Quintero was rounded out the superlatives with a 48th place finish in the 50 Free (28.26), and a 37th place finish in the 200 Free (2:19.39).

The Owls will take this next weekend off before returning to the deck next week for the three days of the 2014 Western State Conference Championships. Day one of the three day event begins on Thursday April 17th at 8:00 AM on the campus of Los Angeles Valley College.
