Owls Roll On at PCC Invite

Pasadena, CA - The 16th Annual Pasadena City College Invitational signaled the end of the regular swim season over the weekend. The Owls' season rolled on over at the Lancers pool as they wrapped up their final preparations for the Western State Conference Championships in two weeks. 

 Individually it was freshmen Marissa Kasnetsis and Sabrina Fregoso who put together the best individual performances of the weekend. Kasnetsis had the highest individual finish, by coming 34th place in the 200 Individual Medley posting a time of 2:39.20. Fregoso meanwhile finished in the top of half of three freestyle events, coming in 71st in the 50 Free (28.98), 49th in the 100 Free (1:014.16), and 49th in the 200 Free (2:20.39).

In addition to those four individual performances, Kasnetsis and Fregoso were involved in Citrus' best relay performance of the weekend as the two teamed up with sophomore Delaney Moller and freshman Rebecca Alejo to take 29th in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 2:20.77.

The Owls will close out their 2016 season Thursday April 21st-Saturday April 23rd at Cuesta College. Preliminaries will take place in the morning beginning at 9:00 AM, with finals for each scheduled event taking place later in the evening.
