SWIM: Owls Host WSC Invite

Citrus College hosted a swim meet Friday afternoon and saw multiple top-five finishes at the 2020 Western State Conference Invite No. 1.

Dynalee Huerta, Francesca Vargas, Nataly Lazcano and Lauren Olivier teamed up to take third in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of two minutes, 6.93 seconds. Vargas posted the best finish of the day for the Owls with a first-place time of 1:18.05 in the 100 back.

Olivier (2:31.98) and Huerta (2:34.82) also had top-five finishes in the 200 IM, taking third and fourth, respectively. Olivier had her best performance of the day in the 500 free, finishing in 5:57.92.

Cameron Schween finished the 50 free in 29.35 seconds for seventh place, while Kortney Molle took 10th with a time of 30.97. Michelle Klesck took fifth in the 100 fly with a time of 1:13.85.

The men's 200-yard medley relay team (Eduardo Nava, Jacob Perez, Antonio Aguilar, Adam Arvizu) also took a top-five finish, touching in 2:02.31 for fifth place. Aguilar also took fifth in the 100 fly with a time of 1:00.24.

Dominick Powell took 10th in the 200 free with a time of 2:04.62 and Gaige Chyrchel took 10th in the 50 free in 26.98 seconds.
