Citrus Competes in Rainy RCC Invitational

Citrus College competed at the RCC Invitational Friday with some top-10 performances.

The Owl women led the day off with two teams in the 200-yard free relay. One team took sixth place, clocking in at one minute, 53.51 seconds, while the other touched the wall in 2:06.11. The Citrus men posted a time of 1:43.14 in their 200-free relay.

Charly Figueroa grabbed sixth in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:30.85.

Andrea Hayler finished the 50 free in 28.12 seconds and Delaney Latham wasn't far behind in 28.44. Jullian Nichols finished the men's 50-yard free in 23.33 seconds, posting the second-best time of his heat.

Sierra Beltran finished the 500-yard free with a time of 6:12.45, while Rolan Solis posted a time of 6:01.42 in his race.

Citrus closed out the meet with the 800-yard free relay, with the women finishing in 9:24.39 and the men in 9:21.19.

The Owls head to the second Western State Conference event of the year next weekend, hosted by LA Valley.
