Bakersfield, CA -- The Citrus College Volleyball team made the long trek up the 5 freeway to the 99 to take on State #6 Bakersfield College Wednesday night. After upsetting the Renegades in their own gym a month ago, the Owls felt good about there chances. Unfortunately for Citrus, the Owls fell flat in a 25-23, 25-16, 25-19 loss to Bakersfield.

Freshman Amanda Stone handed out 27 assists in the loss, while freshman Kayla Eddings had a team high eight kills. Sophomore Alexis Lunney added seven kills and sophomore Breanna Stone came up with a team high 15 digs.

The loss drops Citrus to 11-8 overall and 5-4 in conference play. Most importantly it also drops Citrus into fourth place a game back of both Bakersfield and College of the Canyons in the WSC South. The Owls will try and rebound from Wednesday's loss on next Wednesday when they host Glendale College in their final regular season home contest at 7:00 PM.
