Santa Monica, CA -- The Citrus College Volleyball team won their second straight match on Friday evening and their third in their last four contests when they swept their host Santa Monica College in straight sets. The Owls did it with their freshman as they went to work and took care of business against the Corsairs winning 25-18, 25-12, 25-21.

Freshman Kayla Eddings led the way offensively for Citrus scoring 16 points with a team high 13 kills and three solo blocks. Freshman setter Amanda Stone continued to be her consistently good self with 32 assists through the three sets. Freshman Makoto Toyama rounded out the superlatives on Friday with a team high 10 digs.

With the win, Citrus improves to 13-8 overall and 7-4 in Western State Conference South Division matches. The Owls have just one more game left on their 2012 regular season scheduled, next Wednesday at West LA. The match is set for a 7:00 PM start time.
