Culver City, CA -- The Citrus College Volleyball team closed out their 2012 season on Wednesday night by cruising past host West Los Angeles College 25-11, 25-10, 25-15. All that's left now for Citrus is to wait for Sunday's playoff seeding meeting and hope their name is called.

Citrus didn't mess around against the Wildcats, as freshman Kayla Eddings led the way with eight kills and seven digs. Sophomore Alexis Lunney matched Eddings 8 kills, and freshman Amanda Stone added 16 assists. For good measure freshman Makoto Toyama took over at the setter position midway through the match and recorded 14 assists of her own.

With the win, Citrus finishes the season with a 14-8 overall record and 8-4 mark in Western State Conference South Division play. The Owls are currently ranked #20 in the State poll and #13 in Southern California. The post-season will take the top 16 teams from the South, and Citrus looks to be one of those teams. The seedings are expected on Sunday around 2:00 PM with the first round beginning on Tuesday November 20th, 2012 with the higher seed hosting.
