Glendale, CA -- The Citrus College Volleyball team, ranked #23 in the State, was handed its second straight loss on Wednesday evening when they were down in five sets by host Glendale College. It's the first loss by Citrus to Glendale since 2009.

Citrus started off the match with a tough 26-24 win in the first set, and then followed that up by cruising in the second set 25-18. Glendale started to pick up momentum in the third with a 25-23 win, while the Owls then muddled through a 14-25 setback in the fourth. In the fifth and final set it was Glendale who came through defeating Citrus 15-13.

In the loss, freshman Danielle Hundley paced the Citrus effort with 26 kills. Sophomore Amanda Stone had 39 assists and nine digs, while sophomore libero Kiyhanna Dade had a team high 18 digs. Freshman Cassandra Freitag added eight kills, ten digs, and a team high six aces.

With the loss, Citrus drops back to .500 at 7-7 overall and a game under .500 in WSC South play at 1-2. The Owls will try to have to figure out how to right the ship soon, as they head to Santa Monica College for a 6:00 PM meeting this Friday.
