Culver City, CA -- It was the Citrus College Volleyball programs' newbies time to shine on Wednesday evening at West LA College. The Owls got a number of solid contributions from its role players as it cruised to a straight set win over the Wildcats 25-5, 25-18, and 25-21.

Freshman Alexandria Donnelly was the biggest newbie contributor on the night handing out a team and season high 24 assists. The biggest recipient of Donnelly's assists was sophomore Ana Bui who led Citrus with 13 kills. Freshman Danielle Hundley had eight, as did sophomore Kayla Eddings, while freshman Cassandra Freitag added seven. Bui also contributed a team high 10 digs, and freshman Alyssa Robles chipped in with a season high six.

With the win, Citrus improves to 11-7 overall and a healthy 5-2 in WSC South play. The Owls will take the weekend off before hosting College of the Canyons in a critical conference contest next Wednesday at 6:00 PM.
