Owls Dropped In Straight Sets At Bakersfield

Bakersfield, CA -- The Citrus College Volleyball team hit the road for the first of their final two games Friday night. The Owls were dropped in straight sets by State #17 Bakersfield College 26-24, 25-13, and 25-20.

In the loss, Citrus was led by sophomore Ana Bui and her 17 kills. Sophomore setter Amanda Stone handed out 22 assists and had 15 digs. Sophomore Kiyhanna Dade had a team leading 17 digs, and freshman Kaylee Johnson came up with 12.

With the loss, Citrus falls to 13-9 overall and 7-4 in WSC South play. The Owls have just one contest remaining on their 2013 schedule when they travel to Antelope Valley College on Wednesday. The match is set for a 6:00 PM start.
