Owls Look Good in Sweep of Glendale

Glendale, CA -- The Citrus College Volleyball team put together one of its more impressive outings of the 2014 season Wednesday in a sweep of Glendale College. The Owls committed just 11 total hitting errors, and posted a team hitting percentage of .308 with a 25-19, 25-22, and 25-23 victory.

Sophomore middle blocker Cassandra Freitag led the way with 13 kills and a .545 kill percentage. Sophomore outside hitter Kyla White added 10 kills and a team high 14 digs, while freshman middle blocker Samantha Jape added five kills and four total blocks. Freshman outside hitter Erin Murphy notched seven kills on 18 attempts with just two errors, while freshman setter Kristen Fox handed out 24 assists, and had three aces in the win.

With the win, Citrus improves to 7-12 overall and 4-4 in WSC South play. The Owls will be on the road again on Friday when they travel to take on Santa Monica College at 6:00 PM.
