Volleyball Sputters Again at Fullerton

Fullerton, CA -- The Citrus College Volleyball program was on the road yet again on Wednesday evening when they took on Fullerton College in Fullerton. The Owls sputtered again, falling in straight sets to the Hornets, losing 25-21, 25-15, and 25-15.

Sophomore Samantha Jape continued her strong early season play by leading the way with a team high seven kills with just one error on 12 attempts. Jape also added an ace, three digs and a pair of solo blocks. Freshman Briana Olvera chipped in with five kills and a block, while sophomore Jacqueline Medina had a team high 11 digs. Sophomore setter Kristen Fox rounded out the superlatives with 15 assists.

With the loss, Citrus drops to 2-6 on the season. The Owls are on the road again next Wednesday with another tall test when they tackle Orange Coast College. The match is set for a 5:00 PM start in Costa Mesa.
