Lancaster, CA -- When it comes to road contests, the 2015 Citrus College Volleyball team has been far for their best selves during away games. That trend continued on Friday evening when the Owls were downed in straight sets by Antelope Valley College 25-15, 26-24, and 25-20.

The trouble began early for Citrus who committed seven errors with just nine kills in the first set. The Owls were a smidge better in the second with eight kills against just five errors, but things were arguably the worst in the third and final set where they managed just four total kills, while committing three hitting errors.

Freshman Briana Olvera was the lone hitter with any stats of note, recording eight kills and just two errors. Sophomore libero Jacqueline Medina managed an ace and 10 digs, while sophomore setter Jackie Hall had 15 assists.

With the loss, Citrus drops to 5-12 on the season and 2-4 in conference play. The Owls will kickstart the second half of WSC South play on Wednesday at West Los Angeles College for a 6:00 PM match.
