Bakersfield, CA - After a tough 2015 season which saw the Citrus College Volleyball program go 1-11 on the road, the Owls' away slate came to a close on Friday in a straight set loss to host Bakersfield College.

The 268 mile round trip wore on the Owls and it was evident early. Citrus couldn't shake off the travel legs and mustered just 11 total points in the first set. It didn't get much better from there with 12 points in the second set and 14 in the third and final set.

In the loss freshmen Lauren Valenciana and Briana Olvera each had a team high five kills. Sophomore Amy Wilcox had five digs and sophomore setter Jackie Hall added 10 assists.

With the loss, Citrus drops to 6-16 overall and 3-8 in WSC South play. The Owls will be back at home to close out the 2015 season for good when they host Antelope Valley College at 6:00 PM.
