Sylmar, CA - Fresh off their first win in 2016, the Citrus College Volleyball team headed West on the 210 freeway to take on fellow WSC member Los Angeles Mission College. The Owls put forth a good effort, but it wasn't enough in a four-set loss to the host Eagles.

The Owls woes started early in a 25-20 setback in the first set. The second set would see the two teams need more than the standard 25 to find a winner as LA Mission outlasted Citrus 30-28. Citrus would finally pick up a win in the third set to stave off the loss for a little while with a 25-23 victory. The Eagles would close things out in the fourth though, setting the Owls down 25-21.

Sophomore Paige Madkin and freshman Leah Price led the way with 14 kills each. Madkin added 30 digs and Price had three total blocks. Freshman setter Patrisha Sangalang rounded out the highlights with 32 assists.

Citrus drops to 1-13 overall and will be on the road once more on Wednesday before making their home debut. The Owls will travel to Antelope Valley College on Wednesday for a 6:00 PM showdown with the Marauders.
