Santa Barbara, CA - The Citrus College Volleyball team knew they would have their hands full when they made the 115 mile trek up to Santa Barbara City College to take on the State ranked #3 Vaqueros. The Owls put up a solid fight, but fell in straight sets 18-25, 19-25, and 21-25.

The Owls posted respectable attack percentages of .143, .172, and .160 on the evening for a total of .159. Citrus just didn't have enough fire power to keep up with the Vaqueros who posted a .243 kill percentage on the night. Freshman Leah Price paced the Owls effort with eight kills, while freshman setter Patrisha Sangalang continued her recent strong play with 25 assists, and a team high eight digs. Freshman Marissa Underwood followed that up with seven digs and a pair of aces.

With the loss, Citrus drops to 2-15 on the year. The Owls will be back in action on Friday when they kick-off Western State Conference East Division play by hosting Victor Valley College at 6:00 PM.
