Victorville, CA – The Citrus College Volleyball team hit the road on Wednesday evening for another WSC East showdown with Victor Valley College. The Owls put forth a solid effort, but didn't have enough in the end in as they were downed in straight sets.

The Owls did their best to keep pace with Victor Valley in the opening set, committing just five attack errors, but in the end the Rams pulled away 25-21. Citrus couldn't take advantage of a .050 kill percentage by Victor Valley in the middle set, posting a .067 percentage of their own on their way to a 20-25 set back. In the final set, Citrus did it's best to try to get some momentum going, taking a late 24-20 lead. The Rams would rally though and score the final six points of the match.

In the loss, Citrus was paced by freshman Leah Price who had a match high 18 kills. Sophomore Paige Madkin chipped in with six kills and a team high 16 digs, while freshman setter Patrisha Sangalang had 25 assists.

With the loss, Citrus drops to 4-18 overall and 2-3 in WSC East play. The Owls will be back home on Friday when they host Glendale College at 6:00 PM.
