Citrus College dropped a three-set match on the road to the College of the Canyons (25-19, 25-9, 25-22).

With the loss, the Owls slip to 6-9 overall and 1-3 in the Western State Conference-South. The Cougars improve to 4-8 on the year, 2-1 in conference.

Delaney Tate led the Owls with nine kills, followed by Faith Evaro and Brianna Lopez, who each had five kills. Maritza Sanchez finished with 21 assists, while Evelyn Enriquez had 13 digs and Tate chipped in another 10 for a double-double.

Citrus put together its best set in the third, hitting at a .206 clip to try to force extra sets. Evaro had four kills in the frame, with no errors, to give her team a fighting chance.

The Owls are back home on Wednesday, hosting West LA at 6:00 p.m. in the Owls' Nest.
