Citrus College capped the two-day LA Mission Tournament with a three-set sweep over LA Pierce. The Owls beat the Brahmas on set scores of 25-19, 25-14, 25-18 to improve to 1-5 on the year. LA Pierce drops to 1-5 overall.
Tara Biscan led the Owls with seven kills, boasting a .778 hitting percentage after not committing a single error on nine attempts. McKenna Cooper followed with five kills, while Faith Evaro and Danielle Erlandson each chipped in four kills. Raegen Johnson dished out 14 assists, while Vanessa Marquez added another seven.
Defensively, Mychaela Ortiz finished with nine digs for Citrus, while also posting three aces.
The Owls head to Pasadena City College on Friday for a pair of matches, taking on Ventura College first at 11 a.m. before facing host PCC at 2 p.m.
