Citrus College made its home debut Wednesday but couldn't hold off LA Mission in a three-set loss (25-20, 25-18, 25-20).
The Owls slip to 3-11 overall, while the Eagles improve to 11-7.
Faith Evaro led the Owls with seven kills, followed by McKenna Cooper's six kills. Vanessa Marquez had 13 assists and a team-high seven digs, while Neesie Gonzalez posted six digs.
Citrus is back in action on Friday, hosting another Eagle team as Mt. San Jacinto comes to town for a 5 p.m. contest.
